TV monitoring recordings provide clear information on the state of the pipeline’s internal walls, damage, inlets, contamination, etc. Our equipment allows video inspection to be undertaken even where there is a danger of explosions.

The CGAD® method

The CGAD® method
A comprehensive method consisting of a combination of various measurements and their evaluation.

Detailed measurement values are ranked into a primary numerical system. The data is subsequently processed and filtered so that for each measured section of the pipe a basic formula is constructed. This formula represents the extremely precise characteristics of the pipe in the section in question. The basic formula is compared with the basic reference formulae for precisely known parameters. Agreement is determined with the closest reference formula.

A special calculation is then used to evaluate the most likely characteristics of the measured pipeline sample.
The result is information on the following parameters of the measured pipeline sample:
  1. Total pipe material depletion
  2. Nature of corrosion
  3. Area of pipe affected by corrosion
  4. Wall strength at locations weakened by corrosion
Using the above detailed parameters, we then undertake a structural analysis calculation to calculate the remaining lifetime of the pipe. In accordance with the nature and seriousness of the damage, we propose the most suitable repair method or maintenance of the pipe taking all technical and operating conditions into account.

  • measured results can be applied to sections of the same pipeline where approximately the same influences apply as for the measured section
